The Miami Heat fell short against the Philadelphia 76ers on the second night of a back-to-back. Miami had a double-digit lead early and had their imprint on the game. However, the Sixers came back with a strong second half and took the lead.
The Miami Heat ended their four-game road trip Sunday night against the Detroit Pistons. Even shorthanded, the Heat still had an opportunity to finish the road trip strong against the struggling Pistons.
The Miami Heat were shorthanded against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday. They were without Tyler Herro, Bam Adebayo, Jimmy Butler, Caleb Martin, and Markieff Morris.
Without their two best players, the Miami Heat were already at a disadvantage against the Indiana Pacers. Despite this, the Heat came prepared and determined to win.
The NBA had their biggest game of the year up to this point on Tuesday night when the Phoenix Suns took on the Golden State Warriors. The Suns came out on top and now have to be considered the best team in the Western Conference and maybe the NBA.
This was the first of the two-game reunion trip for Jimmy Butler, who played for the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2018. At first, this was shaping up to be a nice win for the Miami Heat.
The road trip started off rough for the Miami Heat, who lost the first three games on the trip. After beating the Utah Jazz on Saturday, the Heat finished off the road trip with a win against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Led by Tyler Herro, the Heat picked up their scoring in the second half and were able to close the deal. With the victory, Miami moves to 9-5 for the season.
This game could’ve ended just like the past two games in Los Angeles. But, in the end, the Miami Heat were able to seal the deal.
Despite having control for long stretches, and many opportunities in overtime, the Heat couldn’t put the Los Angeles Lakers away. With huge production from their reserves, the Lakers were able to escape with a win. The loss puts Miami at 7-4 for the season.
Historically, the Miami Heat never play well in Denver. Is it because of the altitude? Who knows.
This was a good matchup between two solid teams, as each entered Friday’s game with only one loss in the early season.
