In 2020 it feels like we have football every Tuesday. Tonight the 3-8 Dallas Cowboys taking on the 6-5 Baltimore Ravens. The Cowboys need to win this game to keep pace with the New York Giants in the NFC East. Meanwhile, the Ravens are currently 1.5 games out of the final AFC Wild Card spot. A loss to the Cowboys would seriously hamper the Ravens’ chances of making the postseason.
Here’s a look back at the week that was Week 12.
This game between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers was supposed to take place on Thanksgiving. However, the Ravens had several positive Covid-19 cases, and the league moved the game to Sunday afternoon, only to push it back again Tuesday night and then again today at 3:40 P.M. est. Several Steeler players voiced their displeasure with the NFL’s decision, most notably was star wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster.
The Tennessee Titans (6-3) are headed to the east coast to take on the Baltimore Ravens (6-3). Both of these teams are currently in a slump losing two of their last three games.
The Patriots dominated the ground through the first three quarters and got out to a big lead. Unfortunately for the Ravens, heavy rain in the fourth quarter stopped their chances of a comeback and the Patriots pulled off the 23-17 upset.
The last time these teams met, Lamar Jackson delivered Tom Brady and the Patriots their first loss of the 2019 season in Week 9. This year, New England’s roster is a little bit different, and so are the expectations for this game. Historically, the Ravens and Patriots have been AFC powerhouses. They’ve combined for eight Super Bowls since 2000, but only one of these teams has legitimate aspirations to hoist the Lombardi trophy this season.
