Frank Darby was supposed to have a breakout senior season as the number one receiver at Arizona State following in Brandon Aiyuk’s footsteps. However, injuries did not allow Darby to have that opportunity. He is a risky pick for NFL teams without much recent tape but boasts a lot of potential as a prospect. Let’s take a look at Darby’s skillset.
Welcome back to my locks and game picks! Last week I went 4-4 on my locks, which is not ideal. That makes me 15-11 (.577) on locks so far this year. I’ve got eight more bets for you guys this week. Let’s improve on the last two weeks.
After a tie in Week 1, a supercharge is what the Lions needed to help them through a long season. They got it in their home opener at Ford Field. Not a ton of points were scored by the Darrell Bevell offense, but a win is a win, and the Lions got just that in a 13-10 win over the Los Angeles Chargers. The Baltimore Ravens have the 22nd pick in the 2019 NFL Draft, where they could look at a receiver. While this class is as deep as any in recent memory, Ryan Potts writes that these top five receivers stand out from the rest.
The #21 ranked Fresno State Bulldogs have the opportunity for their first-ever 12-win season when they face Arizona State in the Las Vegas Bowl on December 15. For Arizona State. I’m sure they would love nothing more than to finish off Herm Edwards first season, with the Bowl win over a ranked opponent. Arizona State and Fresno State have met just three times, with the Sun Devils winning all three meetings. Quite surprisingly though all three games were through the years of 1931-41.
