The 2018 season got off to a great start for the Tennessee Titans as they began the year 3-1. However, they struggled as the season went on as the offense stalled at times and the injury bug took its toll. Marcus Mariota struggled to stay upright, getting sacked 42 times and he had just one receiver with more than 470 receiving yards.
The first round of the 2019 NFL draft had several surprise moments. One of the more surprising things was all the good talent that slipped into the second round. Teams will have plenty of opportunities to try and trade up for a first round talent that slipped for whatever reason. With the second night of the draft just a few hours away, here is a predictive mock draft for the second round.
Even with round one already wrapped up, there are still many great players left. There were many players who weren’t even expected to go in the first, such as Tytus Howard, L.J. Collier, and Kaleb McGary. While those players were taken off the board, there were many players who were better prospects as the same position, such as Cody Ford, Dre’Mont Jones, and Jawaan Taylor.
In Griffin Clark’s third mock draft, the Raiders replace Khalil Mack with a new defensive lineman and the Patriots find Tom Brady’s successor, among many other picks.
With an evident lack of receivers on the Patriots’ roster, New England should focus its draft capital on receivers to aid an aging Tom Brady.
