Below are the three best streamers that I see for next week. I do love Zac Gallen but with the uncertainty of him staying in the lineup I sadly could not pick him. I also released an article this week displaying all the MLB team’s offenses, their underlying number and who is truly the worst. This is a great tool as you always want to stream against weak lineups. That can be seen here: How To Effectively Stream Pitchers
CC Sabathia NYY vs TOR 6/24 (16% owned)
CC has been much better at home this year posting a 2.18 ERA in 33 innings pitched. While the Blue Jays are 23rd in wOBA and 20th in wRC+ on the road. The Blue Jays are also 27th in OBP and 18th in K/BB vs left-handed pitchers. For those who don’t know CC is a left-handed pitcher. CC has a solid 34.0 O-Swing% and 10.4 SwStr% this year and being that he excels at home while the Blue Jays struggle on the road and against lefties, this seems like a solid stream to me.
Ariel Jurado TEX @ DET 6/27 (6% owned)
Jurado might seem like an odd choice for me to pick, but he pitches well when he should. Let’s look at his games against some of the worst offenses this year.
Vs BAL 6 IP 8 H 3 ER 6 K’s
Vs KC 8.1 IP 9 H 4 ER 6 K’s
If you take out the one bad game where he let up seven runs his ERA is 3.70 in games, he has started. The Tigers are just bad, they are 27th in wOBA, 28th in wRC+, and 27th in K% at home. While Jurado doesn’t show much promise the matchup is too sweet to pass on. Especially when his past history shows he can handle weak offenses.
Matt Strahm SD @ BAL 6/28 (30% owned)
The Orioles are just as bad as the Tigers offense. They are bottom tier in just about every category and if Trey Mancini hits the IL, their offense will become even more anemic. Strahm hasn’t started off the season the way he wanted to, as he is 2-6 with a 4.85 ERA. I truly believe he can put it together though and put up a solid season going forward. He has a decent K-BB% of 15.6 to go with a solid O-Swing%, SwStr%, and F-Strike%. Before Strahm was hurt he only let up more than three runs once in his first 10 games! After back to back games of putting up at least six runs, they sent him to the IL with an injury. I truly think those two bad games was because he was trying to pitch through an injury. I also truly believe this start is where he turns it back around and you should want to be a part of it.
