The Holy Cross Crusaders dropped their second Patriot League matchup to the Lafayette Leopards 60-48 on Tuesday.

The Crusaders shot an abysmal eight percent from three-point range, only making two of their 24 three-point attempts. To add insult to injury, the Crusaders only shot 33 percent from the field, making this game a forgettable affair.

Junior forward Karl Charles led the team in scoring with 13 points, making one of the teams two three-point shots and added four rebounds. Junior forward Jehyve Floyd and freshman guard Caleb Green both scored 11 and 10 points respectively.

The Leopards were carried by a record-breaking performance from freshman guard Alex Petrie, who set the scoring record for a Lafayette freshman player with 29 points. Petrie shot 8-12 from the field and 7-8 from beyond the arc which accounted for all of Lafayette’s three-point shots. He also had a perfect record from the free throw line, sinking all six of his shots and added six rebounds.

Senior forward Matt Klinewski scored 17 points for Lafayette and added seven rebounds in the victory.
