The Las Vegas Raiders traded rookie Lynn Bowden Jr. to the Miami Dolphins on Saturday. In addition to Bowden, the Dolphins are getting a sixth-round pick while the Raiders get a fourth-round pick, according to NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

The crazy thing about this trade is the four-round pick that the Raiders are getting is the same pick that they sent to the Dolphins in a trade for linebacker Raekwon McMillan less than a week ago.

Bowden played running back, receiver, quarterback, and returned punts at Kentucky. With the Dolphins, Bowden will split time at running back and wid receivers as well as return punts.

“You see the game-changing from year to year, the use of the RPOs (run-pass options) and the use of the Taysom Hills, those type of players that played the RPO-style offense in college, they become valuable,” Raiders offensive coordinator Greg Olson said of Bowden in early August, via the team’s official website. “We believe that he can transition and be a running back, as well as do some of those plays at the quarterback position that he did in college.”

Bowden led Kentucky in rushing with 1,468 yards and 13 touchdowns and in receiving with 30 catches for 348 yards and a touchdown. As a returner, he returned four punts for 53 yards and nine kickoffs for 220 yards. At quarterback Bowden threw for 403 yards with three touchdowns and three interceptions and a 6-2 record as a starting quarterback.

The Dolphins don’t have a lot of depth at the receiver position so Bowden will likely start out as a receiver. He will also get some Wildcat snaps at quarterback as well.
