Report: Patriots Sign Wide Receiver

The New England Patriots have added some talent to their receiving corp.

Per Adam Schefter, the team has reportedly signed former Jacksonville Jaguars pass catcher Marqise Lee.

Lee, 28, was selected in second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. As the third receiver on the depth chart in 2016, he recorded 63 receptions for 851 yards and three scores.

In 2017, Lee seized the opportunity with Allen Robinson going down with an injury.

In 14 starts, Lee recorded 56 receptions for 702 yards and three scores.

The signing for the Patriots is a low-risk high-reward deal for both parties. If the USC alum is able to regain his 2016 and 2017 form, the Patriots are big winners in grabbing a great weapon for whomever is under center.
