Report: Patriots Rookie Numbers Released

Fans can finally put numbers to the new faces.

Here are the draft picks listed with their new numbers

8: WR N’Keal Harry
33: CB Joejuan Williams
50: DE Chase Winovich
37: RB Damien Harris
65: OT Yodny Cajuste
64: OG Hjalte Froholdt
4: QB Jarrett Stidham 99: DT Byron Cowart
7: P Jake Bailey: 7
47: CB Ken Webster

Notable undrafted free agent Jakobi Meyers has been given No.16 tonight. Wide receiver Gunner Olszewski has been given No.9. When receivers are given single digit numbers, history shows that their chance of making the roster is slim to none.

Free agent pickup wide receiver Cameron Meredith has been given No.1. A peculiar choice.

Undrafted safeties Malik Grant (42) and A.J. Howard (39) should see significant playing time tonight as Devin McCourty probably will not play for preservation of health and Patrick Chung has been wearing a red non-contact jersey all camp.

Undrafted tight end Andrew Beck has received No.86.

Harry’s number was quickly switched from No.10 to No.8 under the assumption that the Patriots are waiting to hear back on the status of Josh Gordon. It is a placeholder number as receivers are only allowed to wear numbers 10-19 and 80-89.

The Patriots take on the Detroit Lions tonight at 7:30 p.m.
