Report: Patriots’ Jonathan Jones Ruled Out for Saturday’s Game vs. Bills

It was speculated all week but is now official. The Patriots will be down a starting corner going into this weekend’s game.

While Jonathan Jones’ season hasn’t gotten as much acclaim as his teammate, Stephon Gilmore, Jones has put up some great numbers against opposing quarterbacks, arguably notching himself right under Gilmore as one of the best corners in the league.

Bills quarterback Josh Allen loves to throw the ball deep, so it would have been nice to have Jones back there patrolling the secondary as defending deep passes is his forte.

Hopefully, a returning Jason McCourty can take the spot of Jonathan Jones and this defense doesn’t miss a step. We’ll find out Saturday when the Patriots take on the Bills in New England.
