Report: Patriots Finalizing Deal with Wide Receiver

Rarely do in season moves get a lot of attention but this one will as the New England Patriots are reportedly finalizing a two-year contrace with wide receiver Kenny Britt.

Adam Schefter reported just minutes ago on the story.

Britt (29) was a key cog of the Los Angeles Rams offense last season racking up 1,000 receiving yards for the first time in his career and was considered one of the biggest commodities at the wide receiver position during this past free agency period.

Britt signed a four-year, $32.5 million contract with the Cleveland Browns and was supposed to be a key part of quarterback Deshone Kizer’s development but after only 18 catches through nine games released.

His 6-foot-3 stature along with his speed make him a viable threat in the deep passing game. One most also not overlook the fact that he is in fact a Rutgers alum, a school head coach Bill Belichick loves to get players from.
