Report: Patriots Extend Director of Player Personnel

While every living soul in Patriots Nation is waiting to hear news of where Tom Brady is going to sign, the Patriots decided to sure up their front office first.

Extending Nick Caserio is huge for this team. In a time where it seems like stability is starting to go by the wayside in New England, the team wraps up one of the most important behind the scene pieces of this dynasty.

Caserio has been with the team for 19 seasons and is a man of many hats when it comes to his role with the team. On top of being heavily involved in contract negotiations and scouting, he also regularly helps run drills at practices. Executives like him are rare in the NFL so it’s good news that New England held on to him.

Last offseason he was tied to taking the general manager job with the Houston Texans, but that deal was luckily blocked by the Patriots.

While the exact terms of this extension are currently unknown, it’s still great news to have a mainstay like Caserio remaining in the fold for the foreseeable future.
