Report: Patriots Claim Pair of Receivers

The New England Patriots have added much needed depth on offense as the team announced that they have claimed wide receivers Chad Hansen and Amara Darboh.

Senior NFL reporter Albert Breer tweeted the news on his personal account.

Hansen (23), was drafted by the New York Jets in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft where he caught nine passes for 94 yards in his rookie season.

Darboh (24), was picked in the third round by the Seattle Seahawks in last year’s draft as well catching eight passes for 71 yards.

Belichick and the Patriots have a bit of a past with the two receivers as the team heavily scouted the pair with the head coach actually making an appearance at Hansen’s pro day.

The Patriots’ receiver position now to a certain extent has depth with the names being as follows.

  • Julian Edelman (Suspended)
  • Chris Hogan
  • Phillip Dorsett
  • Cordarrelle Patterson
  • Chad Hansen
  • Amara Darboh
