It appears that the Jets will continue strengthening their offensive line. After adding George Fant yesterday and re-signing Alex Lewis today, the Jets have added a fairly decent center.
New York has signed former Broncos center Connor McGovern, 26, to a three-year, $27 million contract that guarantees him $18 million.

He’s getting $18M fully guaranteed, per source.
There was a very thin market for quality starting centers and McGovern was highly sought after. The Jets clearly were his choice under that assumption. In 2017 he played 424 snaps at eight guard and was not really a factor. In 2018, McGovern was squashed again in at right guard and was moved to center where he was also very bad. McGovern bounced back and was phenomenal in 2019 at pass protection, boosting his value immensely.
The Jets got a good one and are starting to look like they have a league average offensive-line. They can’t stop here but they certainly are on the right track.
