Report: Injury to All-Pro Linebacker Could Be Worse Than Originally Thought

In what could be devastating news. Patriots linebacker Dont’a Hightower may have suffered a much more severe injury than previously thought with a ding to his shoulder that took him out of action against the Atlanta Falcons Sunday night.

CBS Sports wrote on the injury after the game:

“Although the specifics of Hightower’s injury aren’t clear, this is definitely a concerning development since Hightower missed two games earlier in the season with a sprained knee. The linebacker will presumably undergo further testing in the coming days, but there’s a chance his status won’t be known until the Patriots release their first injury report of the week Wednesday.”

Local Boston reporter Ryan Spagnoli also tweeted his own finding on the injury which certainly didn’t spill good news.

While he was indeed questionable to return to the Super Bowl LI rematch late, it is unknown how the injury has affected him and will be worth keeping an eye on the injury reports this week.
