Report: Gronkowski Makes His Decision

After contemplating hanging up the pads, New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski is in fact reportedly returning for another season.

Don Porcaro of We The People Sports reported that “inside sources” have confirmed that the five-time All Pro will indeed be returning for the 2018 season.

The news organization also tweeted this just moments ago.

After losing Super Bowl LII to the Philadelphia Eagles, the five-time All-Pro said that he was definitely thinking about his future and whether he would play next season.

“I don’t know how you heard that, but I mean I’m definitely going to look at my future for sure,” Gronkowski said “I’m going to sit down the next couple of weeks and see where I’m at.”

Gronkowski is the second tight end to make up their mind on their future on the Patriots as tight end Martellus Bennett also announced he would return for one more season.

This likely brings the end to Dwayne Allen’s time with the Patriots as both tight ends are more trusted targets for quarterback Tom Brady and his $5 million hit on the salary cap doesn’t help his chances with remaining with the team.
