Report: David Ortiz Shot in the Dominican Republic

The baseball world holds their breath as reports have come out that former Red Sox designated hitter David Ortiz was transferred to a local hospital in the Dominican Republic.

The 43-year-old was reportedly shot in the leg during a failed robbery attempt at a Santo Domingo amusement center.

Translation: “The wound of @ davidortiz was on one leg and one of those responsible was arrested. The former player was removed from the place in a unit of @ Sistema911_RD”

The reported shooter was taken into custody.
