In perhaps one of the more shocking Boston sports news stories of 2019, Bruins owner Jeremy Jacobs has decided to pass on the control of the team to his six children.
Jacobs purchased the Bruins back in 1975, and has been the man in charge ever since. During his tenure, the Bruins won five Conference titles, two Presidents trophies, and a Stanley Cup.
Not bad for an original investment of about $10 million.
44 years of ownership, over in the blink of an eye. The man who’s in the Hall of Fame for his duties as an owner is now moving on to the next chapter in his life.
