The New Orleans Police Department has announced that they have issued a simple battery warrant for Odell Beckham Jr.
The warrant is in connection to the alleged contact he made with a security guard in the locker room after Monday’s national championship game. The same night he caused a stir, and many even say violated NCAA rules, by handing out cash to LSU players. A law enforcement source said the simple battery warrant was signed by a judge just this morning.
The news of the warrant comes after video surfaced showing Beckham, the New Orleans native, LSU Alum and current Cleveland Browns wide receiver appearing to touch the backside of a police officer in the LSU team’s locker room at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.Every day something else seems to ‘happen’ involving Beckham.
First, it was the animated sideline antics during the last couple of games of the season. Then the giving out money to players, causing many players who accepted it, especially on national television, to maybe have no choice but to enter the upcoming draft to avoid any discipline from the NCAA. Things are becoming eerily similar to the seemingly daily antics, of Antonio Brown.
