Police have issued a warrant for Antonio Brown on the felony charges of burglary and battery. This comes just a day after his trainer was taken into custody for alleged battery, adding to the long list of problems surrounding the former Pro Bowl wide receiver.
Earlier on Wednesday, Chelsie Kyriss –– mother of Brown’s children –– wrote in an Instagram post:
“Over the last few years, I have stood at the side of my children’s father Antonio Brown and watched the rise and fall of an incredible man and athlete. Our children and I have distanced ourselves from him and our former home. Although we have parted ways, I wish nothing but the best for him. Unfortunately, it seems Antonio has made questionable choices and continues to ignore the advice of those who love and support him. At this point, the boys and I are working on building a new life free from any impulsive, reckless, and unhealthy behaviors. My hope is that Antonio will get help and seek the mental treatment that he so desperately needs so that he can be the father all of his children need and deserve.”
The latest incident involved an hours-long police appearance outside of Brown’s Florida residence.
Since the beginning of training camp, Brown has had issues as “minor” as frostbitten feet and a helmet that wasn’t league-approved, to as extreme as sexual assault allegations and battery charges.
The soap opera that is Antonio Brown continues. One can only imagine what the next day will bring.
