Farrell’s managerial campaign started with a World Series Championship in 2013. But the next two years, he saw consecutive losing seasons. As for the next two years, 2016 and 2017, he saw two consecutive eliminations in the American League Division Series. He was the first manager in organization history to win the AL East twice in two years.

Farrellhas been under constant scrutiny for his use of pitchers if the course of this season.

While, there’s no replacement for him as of this moment, the hunt for a new manager is being made effective immediately. There have been numerous rumors of Jason Varitek or Alex Cora taking on this the new role.
