Real Madrid’s Eden Hazard Is Once Again On The Shelf

Real Madrid’s worst fears for this season has come true. Eden Hazard is once again injured. The 29-year-old Belgian winger appears to have suffered a muscle injury in his right leg. The announcement came on Wednesday.

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was initially unable to confirm how much time Hazard will miss, however, the club has confirmed that Hazard is out three to four weeks. Hazard is now very likely to miss the traditional El Clasico match between Real Madrid and Barcelona, which takes place on the 25th of this month. Furthermore, Hazard has yet to appear in a game this season for Los Blancos. Since arriving in the Spanish capital, Hazard only has 16 appearances in La Liga competition, with only one goal scored.

Where Does Real Madrid Go From Here?

Los Blancos have to move on. Hazard’s absence is a big blow to the team, but there are still some other names capable of making an impact. The bottom line is that Real Madrid has to get over it.

Real Madrid just recently began their 2020-2021 La Liga campaign and later this month, they’ll begin their Champions League campaign. With so much at stake, they can’t allow the loss of Hazard to get the better of them.

So far this season, Los Blancos have not looked very good. After three games in La Liga competition, Real Madrid has two wins and one draw. The results are unconvincing and mediocre at best. With the results being mediocre, then the team is still mediocre. Los Blancos are still very far from being at the level of being a good team.

At this point, the question on everyone’s mind is if whether or not, Eden Hazard is officially a bust for Real Madrid. Unfortunately, it may be safe to say that the Hazard signing may go down as one of the worst in the club’s history.
