With under 1.1 seconds remaining and Northeastern down by one, Vasa Pusica stepped out of bounds, which in turn led to two Utah State free throw makes and a 71-67 Aggies victory in the PK80 Invitational.

The Huskies led this PK80 tournament game, 33-32, at halftime thanks to a Pusica full-court buzzer-beater at halftime, but just couldn’t fend off the pesky Aggies.

Utah State connected on 19 free throws to Northeastern’s 10 in the win.

Pusica, despite the late turnover, led all scorers with 27 points, as he was the only Husky to score in double digits as they continue to scuffle along on the offensive end.

Northeastern faces Furman (3-2) tomorrow at 3 p.m. as it looks to get back to .500.
