Pusica Pushes Northeastern Past Bucknell, 82-64

Northeastern’s Vasa Pusica stole the show and the game for the Huskies on Tuesday as the they beat Bucknell by the final score of 82-64.

The junior guard tossed in a game-high 17 points, recorded a game-high three steals and dished out a co-game-high four assists in the rout.

In the first half, it was Pusica and Donnell Gresham Jr. combining for 15 points as the Huskies held a 41-32 lead at the break.

Northeastern led by as much as 21 in the final frame en route to victory.

The Huskies, despite connecting on just 8 of 30 looks from beyond the arc, shot 53.6 percent from the field.

Northeastern looks to run its winning streak to four and its home record to 5-0 on Saturday at 4 p.m. when Vermont (6-3) pays it a visit.

More Money, More Problems.

I took a casual poll on whether or not college athletes should be paid or compensated when their respective university uses their image or likeness. The results were not as I expected. Out of about 100 people who responded, 72 of them said that college athletes should not be paid. This sample included people who had played and who were passionate about college athletics, people who were recently out of college and people who have been graduated for a long time. I personally voted that they should be compensated for their image being used for marketing or recruiting and in a way, they are with scholarships. But we all know that scholarships can only help so much.
