Premier League DFS Plays: (2/6/21)

Premier League DFS Lineup Plays

We have a jam-packed Saturday with five games on the slate, which includes the fixture between Aston Villa and Arsenal. We’ll also get what could be an exciting Northern clash between Manchester United and Everton F.C. Both clubs currently rank among the top 10 in goals scored.

So without further ado, let’s delve into the player options for this upcoming group of matches. I’ve broken down the selections between forward, midfield, defender, goalkeeper, and utility. Included are player salaries from both FanDuel and DK. Best of luck to everyone with their Premier League DFS lineups this weekend.

Forward

Callum Wilson (16.00 FD  7,900 DK)

Wilson has been right up there with the top fantasy producers in the Premier League, ranking fifth among all players. In his previous fixture against Crystal Palace, Wilson would make his one scoring chance count assisting on New Castle’s lone goal. It was a nice follow up to his 34-point explosion the game prior, in which Wilson was responsible for both Magpie goals in their two-nil win over Everton. Having been involved in each of his club’s goals over the past three games. I don’t look for Wilson to slow down against a Southampton club that has shown to be quite vulnerable as of late. Not to mention the price tag is pretty reasonable.

Midfielder

Bruno Fernandes (23.00 FD  10,800 DK)

Coming off a 9-0 massacre of Southampton, Bruno should be entering this upcoming match against Everton feeling very confident. With United already up seven-nil against Southampton, Bruno would pick up his first and only goal off a penalty shot in the 87th minute. Additionally, he also chipped in with a pair of helpers, accumulating a celestial 43 DK points. It was a sound response after racking up a single-digit point performance the week previously. Prior to the game against the Gunners, he had scored under double-digits just twice in the campaign. Even against a stingy Toffees defense, I don’t expect the crafty midfielder to be contained for the full 90 minutes. He will find a way to compile a solid points performance.

Defender

Jamal Lewis (9.00 FD  4,400 DK)

If you’ve invested a majority of your funds into high-flyers and low on funds. Lewis makes for a nice affordable option to fill in at the fullback position. To be fair, the young defender had some past struggles this campaign. However, since the match against Aston Villa, Lewis has managed to steady the ship. Consider that in each of his prior four games, Lewis has racked up at least five DK points. It was during his recent meet with Everton that he compiled 14 fantasy points (picking up an assist to go along with the clean sheet)

Goalkeeper

Robert Sanchez (11.00 FD  5,000 DK)

Sanchez put on quite the impressive showing mid-week, knocking aside four shots en route to a one-nil clean sheet of Liverpool. In fact, since Brighton’s 3-3 draw against Wolverhampton in early January, Sanchez has not allowed more than a single goal in any contest. And that includes his road game against Manchester City. Now, he faces Burnley, a club that has managed to muster a league-low 13 goals on the year. With this in mind, the opportunity for back-to-back clean sheets is certainly within reach.

Utility

Pascal Gross (13.00 FD  9,200 DK)

Gross does not make his fantasy bones off scoring himself a bucket load of goals. He does it through the sharp fundamentals. Consider his previous outing against Liverpool, in which Gross was able to convert on three of his four crosses. Additionally, he has shown to be a superb tackler, having won seven of the last ten challenges. Having racked up 51 DK points in the previous three matches, the hard work has paid off in spades. He’ll now face a run-of-the-mill Burnley, which should offer numerous set-piece opportunities.
