The Philadelphia Eagles have a very important draft coming up, with three picks in the first round. On top of that, they also have 11 total picks, including three more in the fifth round. General Manager Howie Roseman has the opportunity to make up for some of his past mistakes. While not every pick will be a hit, he has to hit on a majority of them to set the team up for the future. The Eagles have needs on a number of positions, most notably at edge rush, secondary, linebacker, and receiver.

Round 1, Pick 15: Jameson Williams, WR, Alabama
Getting a big-time playmaker in the draft to pair with DeVonta Smith is a major key. While the free agency class is also stacked, they need to attack the position in both areas. Williams is coming off a torn ACL from the National Championship. But he assured everyone at the NFL Combine that he is ahead of schedule in his recovery. He could be back in time for the beginning of the season and create a tremendous running mate for Smith.

Round 1, Pick 16: George Karlaftis, EDGE, Purdue
With Derek Barnett on his way out the door, the Eagles need to get young blood coming off the edge to pair with Josh Sweat. If they have one or more of the top edge rushers available when their picks come around, they have to take them. Karlaftis could easily go in the top 10 but fell in this simulation. He is a very talented player with a ton of explosiveness and he drew a lot of double teams.

Round 1, Pick 19: Tyler Linderbaum, IOL, Iowa
As much as it might seem he will, Jason Kelce isn’t going to play forever. While the Eagles did draft Landon Dickerson last year, they could keep him at a guard spot and keep building the offensive line. Linderbaum is the top center prospect in this class, and a top-five talent overall. The Iowa product has All-Pro potential and met with the Eagles at the combine. He can also play all five positions along the offensive line. Having three first-round picks means building for this year and for the future.

Round 2, Pick 51: Chad Muma, LB, Wyoming
The Eagles have needed a top linebacker for several years. Despite not grabbing one in the first round, they are able to get a solid player in the second round. Muma isn’t as high up on draft boards as the other linebackers like Nakobe Dean and Devin Lloyd, but he can hold his own. He’s a do-it-all linebacker that would give Philadelphia a true playmaker at the position.

Round 3, Pick 83: Cam Taylor-Britt, CB, Nebraska
The secondary is something that Eagles might be able to address in free agency. In that case, waiting until the third round to address the cornerback position would be a possibility. Taylor-Britt had one of the faster 40 times at the combine, as he ran it in 4.38 seconds. In addition to that, he also brings versatility and high playmaking abilities to the table. Versatility is something the Eagles look for, so he would make sense for their defense.
Round 4, Pick 122: Alec Lindstrom, IOL, Boston College
Again choosing to work on the interior of the offensive line, the Eagles take one of the two highly talented Boston College linemen. Lindstrom was a three-year starter for Boston College and would be able to keep the same team name. He is an excellent run blocker and provides solid pass protection as well. While he played center in college, he could shift over to guard for the time being. Adding offensive line depth is something the Eagles have grown accustomed to, and do it again with Linderbaum and Lindstrom.
Round 5, Pick 153: Hassan Haskins, RB, Michigan
The Eagles need a big-bodied, power-back to pair with Miles Sanders. Haskins absolutely fits that bill, as the Michigan product did 27 bench reps at the combine. His legs are constantly churning and he gets a lot of yards after first contact. Not only that, but he’s a true workhorse and would provide a huge spark to the run game.
Round 5, Pick 161: JT Woods, S, Baylor
Anthony Harris and Rodney McLeod are both free agents, so the Eagles need to add a safety. Woods ran one of the faster 40 times at 4.36 seconds and showed in drills his quick feet and loose hips to be a reliable defender in zone defense.
Round 5, Pick 165: Haskell Garrett, IDL, Ohio State
With Fletcher Cox nearing the end of his career, the Eagles need to start thinking of the future at the defensive tackle positions. Not only that, but it’s always good to have solid depth, and Garrett is in some ways the same type of player as Cox. He is a monster in the run game and is one of the better three-technique defensive tackles in the class.
Round 6, Pick 192: Daniel Bellinger, TE, San Diego State
Dallas Goedert is a star, but the Eagles don’t have much depth at the tight end position. After the trade of Zach Ertz last year, that leaves Jack Stoll (who is solid) and Tyree Jackson behind Goedert. Bellinger is an agile tight end with physical toughness and can be dominant in the run game. A 12-personnel offense suits him, which the Eagles have ran plenty of over the years.
Round 6, Pick 204: Luke Goedeke, OT, Central Michigan
Did someone say more offensive line depth? Goedeke played right tackle in college and would provide a high-quality depth piece for the Eagles. The former tight end has versatility as he would be able to play an interior offensive line position as well. With the injuries the Eagles offensive line has suffered the last several years, the more depth they add the better.
