Patriots Injury Report, Receiver Present at Today’s Walkthrough

It is a short week for the New England Patriots as they get ready for a date Thursday night against the New York Giants.

The team released an injury report on Monday even though they did not hold a practice that day.

Patrick Chung, Rex Burkhead, Julian Edelman, Josh Gordon, and Nate Ebner were all listed at limited participants in the non-existent practice.

On Tuesday’s injury report, the list grew by one name. Linebacker Shilique Calhoun was added as a limited participant with an ankle injury.

  • Rex Burkhead, foot
  • Patrick Chung, heel
  • Nate Ebner, groin
  • Julian Edelman, chest
  • Josh Gordon, knee
  • Shilique Calhoun, ankle

Phillip Dorsett II. did not participate in Tuesday’s walkthrough but was present this morning. He however, did not participate fully in the team activities that were seen in the limited media portion of practice.

A valid guess to what Dorsett’s status will be for tomorrow night’s game is that he will most likely sit out.

With a limited amount of practice time and the short week of preparation with no time to heal, the team will likely go with wide receiver Jakobi Meyers as their third option.

The undefeated Patriots take on the 2-3 Giants tomorrow night at 8:20 p.m.
