Tight end Darren Waller led the Raiders with seven catches for 126 yards and two touchdowns against the Packers, which was his first career game with two or more touchdowns. Waller ranks second among tight ends in catches and third in receiving yards and is going for his fourth game in a row on the road with seven or more catches.
Rookie Foster Moreau recorded a receiving touchdown last week and has posted two touchdown catches in the last three games. Moreau leads all AFC rookie tight ends with two receiving touchdowns.
On the other side of ball, defensive end Benson Mayowa has posted five-and-a-half sacks and three forced fumbles in his last six games and is aiming for his third game in a row against the AFC with a sack and a forced fumble.
Rookie Maxx Crosby posted a sack in Week 7 and is aiming for his third game in a row with a sack.
Linebacker Tahir Whitehead led the Raiders last week with a team-high eight tackles and has recorded eight or more tackles the last three of four games on the road.
Nicholas Morrow has posted six or more tackles in the last four of five games on the road.
Safety Erik Harris has recorded six or more tackles along with a pass deflection in the past two of three games.
Cornerback Daryl Worley has posted three pass deflections and a tackle for a loss in his past two games on the road.
Houston comes into Week 8 after a disappointing loss on the road against the Colts, 30-23. The Texans have averaged 396 offensive yards and 359.9 defensive yards per game this season. Deshaun Watson is 163 of 235 for 1,952 yards, 13 touchdowns, five interceptions, and a 104.1 rating. Carlos Hyde has posted 111 carries for 461 yards and three touchdowns, while DeAndre Hopkins has 49 receptions for 508 yards and three touchdowns so far this season. Whitney Mercilus leads the Texans with five-and-a-half sacks, while Tashaun Gipson has two interceptions on the season.
Quarterback Deshaun Watson passed for an impressive 308 yards and a touchdown in addition to rushing for another 32 yards last week against the Colts. Watson became the second quarterback to record 7,500 or more passing yards and at least 1,000 rushing yards in his first 30 games in NFL history (also, Cam Newton). Watson also has 11 touchdowns and two interceptions for a 114.8 rating in his four career games versus an AFC West opponent and also has recorded a rushing touchdown in his last three of four games at home.
Running back Carlos Hyde rushed for 82 yards and a touchdown versus Oakland in 2018 when he played for Cleveland.
Duke Johnson recorded 56 scrimmage yards last week and is going for his fifth game in a row with 50 or more scrimmage yards.
Wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins had a team-high nine catches for 106 yards and a receiving touchdown in Week 7 and is aiming for his third game in a row with nine or more catches. Since 2013, Hopkins has ranked second in receiving touchdowns and third in catches and receiving yards and has recorded four receiving touchdowns in the last four games against an AFC West opponent.
Kenny Stills posted a season-high 105 yards against the Colts.
Defensively, J.J. Watt has recorded four-and-a-half sacks and two forced fumbles in his last five games at home and two sacks in his last two games versus Oakland, in addition to five-and-a-half sacks in his last six games versus the AFC West. Watt is one of two players with 90 or more sacks and 20 or more forced fumbles since 2011.
Linebacker Whitney Mercilus recorded half a sack and a fumble recovery in Week 7 and has three sacks and three forced fumbles in his last three games at home. Mercilus recorded two sacks and three tackles for a loss in his last game against Oakland in 2017.
Bernardrick McKinney led the Raiders last week with eight tackles and two tackles for loss.
