Rookie New England Patriots wide receiver has been one of the topics of conversation after the team’s loss to the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
In the final stretch of the crucial battle between the AFC elites, quarterback Tom Brady dumped a pass off to Harry who bobbed and weaved his way to the end zone for what at first glance looked like a touchdown.”
In fact at second and third glance, it still was.
The Arizona State alum agreed.
“We all knew it was a touchdown,” Harry told WEEI’s Ryan Hannable. “Everyone clearly saw it was a touchdown, but like I said, it is out of our control.”

After taking a look at the jumbotron and quickly calling Ernie Adams upstairs, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick instinctively threw the challenge flag. Problem was unfortunately, the Patriots had none left after two previous appeals earlier in the outing.
Neither referee in the vicinity ruled it a touchdown, thereby not making it a scoring play. If deemed a touchdown, it is subject to be looked at because by rule, all scoring plays are reviewed.
When asked about the explanation given to him by officials regarding the controversial play, Patriots head coach Bill Belichick deflected the question towards the referees.
“Yeah you just have to talk to them about that,” Belichick said. “I’m not gonna speak for them.”
In a reporter pool, referee Jerome Boger tried to break down and defend what his two judges saw on that play.
“Those two officials who were covering it, they look at it in real time,” Boger said to reporters. “This case was unique in that the guy who would have ruled touchdown had him short. So maybe if that ruling official on the goal line had a touchdown, we could have gotten into that, but he thought that that guy stepped out of bounds. The goal line wasn’t in the play.”
The crucial takeaway from this answer is Boger stating that the goal line was not part of the discussion. If it were, then it likely would have been subject to review.
The Patriots after their loss Sunday to the Chiefs, stand at 10-3 but still retain the No.2 seed in the AFC.

Official Jerome Booger said the sideline was not part of the call. This is crap! I watched the game & the official at the end zone was pointing at the sideline at the 3 yard line. Booger said if the out of bounds had been part of the call, they would’ve looked at the replay. They are ? lying!!
I am calling foul, it’s obvious neither one of them say that his foot was in or out bounds. The official that had the goal was waiting to signal a touchdown that’s why he checked with the trailing official so don’t tell me the goal line wasn’t in play. . The easiest thing for them to do was to call touchdown and let replay determine wither Harry’s was out of bounds because nether one of them had a clear view to make an honest call on in or out of bounds.
