NFL Draft Recap: Picks 61-64

The second round of the NFL Draft ended with picks 61 through 64.

With the 61st pick, the Tennessee Titans selected Kristian Fulton, a cornerback from LSU. Fulton is a very aggressive and excellent man-defender. If the Titans choose to bring back star defensive back, Logan Ryan, Fulton may not see the field too much. However, a year to develop could be perfect for the rookie.

At No. 62, the Green Bay Packers took a running back out of Boston College: A.J. Dillon. Dillon is a monster in the red zone, scoring 40 touchdowns in three college seasons. He will back up stud running backs Aaron Jones and Jamaal Williams.

Following the Packers, the Kansas City Chiefs added a linebacker from Mississippi State, Willie Gay Jr. with the 63rd pick. The current NFL champions are looking to strengthen their defense this offseason. Gay is an excellent tackler in the open field, however, he was suspended several times in college which may be cause for concern.

At No. 64, the Carolina Panthers closed out the second round of the draft by selecting safety Jeremy Chinn out of Southern Illinois. Chinn is very quick and is great in zone coverage. The last pick of the second round doesn’t usually produce great players, but Chinn could prove to be a steal for Carolina.
