NFL Draft Recap: Picks 45-48

The 2020 NFL Draft continued on Friday.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected the University of Minnesota safety, Antoine Winfield Jr., with the 45th pick. Last year, Winfield led the team with 88 tackles, 62 of them being solo and 3.5 for loss, and three sacks. He also had seven interceptions, returning one for a touchdown.

In his career at the University of Minnesota, Winfield had 177 tackles and nine interceptions, returning three for touchdowns.

The Denver Broncos selected Penn State wide receiver, KJ Hamler, with the 46th pick. Last year, Hamler caught 98 passes for 1,658 yards and 13 touchdowns and was the team’s MVP.

He received Second-Team All-Big Ten honors as a receiver and honorable mention All-Big Ten honors as a returner.

Hamler will be a good assist for the Broncos because he can help out on special teams in addition to being a receiver.

The Atlanta Falcons selected Auburn defensive tackle Marlon Davidson with the 47th pick. At Auburn, Davidson had 174 tackles, 28 tackles for loss, 14.5 sacks, and three forced fumbles. The Falcons made adding pass rushers a priority this offseason so Davidson is a good addition.

The Seattle Seahawks selected University of Tennessee defensive end Darrell Taylor with the 48th pick. Taylor led Tennessee with 8.5 sacks and ten tackles for loss last year. He also had 46 tackles, four pass breakups, and three forced fumbles.

To get Taylor, the Seahawks sent the 59th pick and the 101st pick to the New York Jets.
