NBA Week 3: Games to Watch

NBA Week 3 Games To Watch

With plenty of standout moments and exciting highlights, last week’s NBA games were a blast to watch. The Philadelphia 76ers finally won their first game, Damian Lillard seems to be returning to his “Dame Time” mode, and the Utah Jazz surprised us by actually winning some contests.

We have high hopes that Week 3 (Oct. 31 to Nov. 6) will provide more amazing moments. Here are some of the games that should appear on your wall calendars.

October 31: Brooklyn Nets vs. Indiana Pacers

Rookie Bennedict Mathurin, shooting guard of the Pacers, seems to be grabbing the headlines lately. He is averaging 20 points in his first five games while shooting around 45 percent from the field. Mathurin and Tyrese Haliburton, another standout Pacer, should be on the list of reasons why this game is a must-watch. How they perform against Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving could be entertaining.

November 2: Los Angeles Lakers vs. New Orleans Pelicans

Thanks to the schedule makers, the Pelicans get to stay in Los Angeles for at least four days. They will be playing the Los Angeles Clippers first, followed by the Los Angeles Lakers three nights later. This game should be a good one. Not only do we have Anthony Davis, a former Pelican, facing his old team, but ex-Laker Brandon Ingram will also oppose his former squad. One of the many things to watch out for is how these players perform knowing that they have extra motivation.

November 2: New York Knicks vs. Atlanta Hawks

Trae Young gained “villain status” two seasons ago when he tortured the Knicks in Madison Square Garden during the playoffs. Memories of those events won’t be fading away soon, especially in the Big Apple. That is why fans love to boo the visiting Hawks. Expect Young to retaliate and play with the crowd’s emotions because this is what he lives for.

November 4 and 5: Phoenix Suns vs. Portland Trail Blazers

The Suns and the Blazers face each other twice in two days with both games being played in Arizona. Even if Damian Lillard could miss this “mini” series, the set has other noteworthy players on board. Anfernee Simons going against Devin Booker suddenly becomes the matchup to watch. Both players can shoot the lights out and recent highlights serve as evidence.

November 5: Orlando Magic vs. Sacramento Kings

By the time Nov. 5 arrives, the Magic and the Kings might be the worst teams in their respective Conferences. Thus, a meeting between these two teams could only mean one thing: someone is going to get a precious win. The Kings are arguably more deserving because they seem to have a heavier schedule in the upcoming weeks.
