NBA Week 22: Unmissable Games

NBA Games - Jalen Brunson, Knicks

Let us hope this week goes by without that injury bug plaguing the NBA. We already lost Bennedict Mathurin to season-ending surgery, as well as Karl-Anthony Towns and Russell Westbrook with injuries that will force them to miss long periods of time. Even Stephen Curry missed a few games due to a scary ankle sprain. It’s disappointing to see players go down, especially with the postseason fast approaching.

Injuries aside, this week should be a good one in terms of competition. Here are some NBA games that should occupy our minds.

March 18: New York Knicks at Golden State Warriors

The Knicks believe they could have won their first matchup against the Warriors, but they have only themselves to blame. Key players all seemed to struggle shooting at the same time. You had Josh Hart (4-17 from the field), Bojan Bogdanovic (0-7), and Donte DiVincenzo (6-21) making sure that the Warriors had it easy. Will things change for this game?

March 19: Denver Nuggets at Minnesota Timberwolves

A race to the top. Fans are keeping their watchful eyes on this one. The Timberwolves and the Nuggets are in a fight for that No. 1 spot in the West. That makes this game a must-see because a win will truly be a big step up in the “standings ladder.” Don’t forget to keep an eye on Anthony Edwards battling Jamal Murray in the backcourt.

March 20: Milwaukee Bucks at Boston Celtics

Although this game will feature the top two teams in the East, we can’t call this a race. With a sizeable lead and only a month left to play, it’s safe to assume that the Celtics will be No. 1 Fans will be tuning in, though, because of the high quality in star power. You just can’t say no to a game featuring Jayson Tatum, Jaylen Brown, Damian Lillard, and Giannis Antetokounmpo.

March 21: New Orleans Pelicans at Orlando Magic

Time to duke it out. Zion Williamson of the Pelicans will be facing Orlando’s Paolo Banchero. That’s a battle between two former No. 1 picks who used to play for the Duke Blue Devils. It doesn’t end there, though. Add Brandon Ingram (New Orleans) and Wendell Carter Jr. (Orlando) to the mix and you’re looking at four former Blue Devils. Will all of them be on the court at the same time?

March 24: Oklahoma City Thunder at Milwaukee Bucks

Believe it or not, this is the first time that these two teams will meet this NBA season. Chet Holmgren will have his hands full trying to contain Antetokounmpo or Brook Lopez while Lillard will try to outshoot Shai Gilgeous-Alexander of the Thunder. A lot of action should take place in the frontcourt, but the backcourt could be equally busy. This could be a hectic kind of game.
