NBA DFS Core Four 8/24/20

What an extremely exceptional day of basketball yesterday! Luka Doncic is a man possessed putting up video game-like stats, to the Brooklyn Nets getting blown out. There was a little bit of everything in yesterday’s games. But, today let’s make some money. So let’s find those golden plays.

All prices below are DraftKings.

Damian Lillard – ($10,900) Portland Trail Blazers vs Los Angeles Lakers

Lillard is doing everything he can to carry the Blazers past the Lakers. He is literally playing 42+ minutes a game. He is also coming off a monster performance where he dropped 34 points, seven assists, and five rebounds. Lillard is the focal point of the offense for the Blazers and the Lakers know that. The fact that Lillard is still scoring 30+ points speaks volumes just about how good he is. Lillard is the undisputed offensive leader on the Blazers and, with Portland down 2-1 in the series, he might experience an uptick on his upside in game four tonight.

Malcolm Brogdon – ($7,500) Indiana Pacers @ Miami Heat

Brogdon is coming off a monster performance. Pacers are on the verge of being swept, so they are going to need everything Brogdon has to offer today. He ran the offense at all times he was on the court piling up 34 points, 14 assists, and seven rebounds. Considering the intensity the Heat bring, Brogdon is going to have to do it all. It won’t be easy, but with the verge of elimination, expect Brogdon to play with an extra spark in his game. Brogdon is going to feast with heavy minutes and stats, and we’re all going to enjoy the ride.

Carmelo Anthony – ($5,800) Portland Trail Blazers vs Los Angeles Lakers

Melo played with some fire last game. Going head to head with Lakers star, LeBron James. Melo finished with 20 points, six rebounds, four steals, and two assists. He was being guarded by LeBron most of the night, so considering his stat line, we will take that any night of the week. Melo played heavy minutes as well (42), and seemed to get more confident as the game went on. Especially in the third quarter where he dropped 13 points alone. Melo will have his hands full again tonight, and I’m expecting a similar performance is what should be an exceptional game.

LeBron James – ($10,800) Los Angeles Lakers @ Portland Trail Blazers

Playoff LeBron is a whole different animal. The intensity LeBron brings when he’s on the floor is something we’ve never seen before. He is arguably the best player in the NBA. He’s coming off an eye-opening, absurd stat line of 38 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. Considering this is his 17th year in the league, it’s frightening to see him still do this and only get better. LeBron will do it all again tonight, and we will all be here to witness greatness in front of our eyes. LeBron is my lock of the night.

That does it for this edition of Core Four. Hope you guys enjoy it, and good luck!
