The Columbus Lions currently sit at 2-3 on the season and have won two of their last three games after an 0-2 start. They have had a secret weapon – or weapons – that no one seems to be talking about.
The dynamic duo of quarterback Luke Collis and wide receiver Chris Sanders-McCollum has been an explosive one in the last four games for Columbus.
Over the course of the season, Collis has been dominating the stat sheets. He leads the league in total offense, including passing yards, completions and is second in touchdowns behind Bane, who is dealing with injury.
In the last four games, Sanders-McCollum has been a dominant receiver. He has scored 10 touchdowns, which is second behind Devin Wilson, who has 12 in five games.
This is going to be the duo to watch over the second half of the season. If they can continue to connect like they have the last four games, Columbus will be tough to stop. They will host the Carolina Cobras this Saturday at the Columbus Civic Center in Columbus, GA. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. ET.
