MLB’s Best Hitters Of The Week

We have seen an interesting first week in baseball. We’ve watched some superstars light up the stat books, and some names emerge. Although we’ve seen some setbacks with teams amidst the current situation in the world, we’ll focus on the players that did play and tell you who was the best this past week.

Aaron Judge New York Yankees

With how many times he made us all rise, we got in a good squat workout this past week. Judge had a home run in five consecutive games, six overall, and led the league in RBI (13). His numbers helped receive the American Player Of The Week honors and are giving him jump start on the American League MVP campaign.

Nicholas Castellanos Cincinnati Reds

Castellanos has started off in his first year with Reds on the right page. He has begun his 2020 campaign with a hit in nine consecutive games, including a multi-home run game and ten RBI. He played well enough to earn the first National League Player of The Week honors for the season.

Donovan Solano San Fransisco Giants

It has been a tough road for Solano: spent seven seasons in the Cardinals system without ever being called up, after four seasons Miami and short stint with the Yankees from 2012-2016 he had zero major league appearances in 2017 and 2018. Now in his second year with the Giants, he has started hot; he currently leads the National League in hits, RBI, and on-base percentage. Could the 32-year-old finally have a breakout season?

Kyle Lewis Seattle Mariners

The Mariners have not started the season on the same hot streak like last year. With the team in the rebuilding stage, this gives Seattle a chance to look at their young talent. Lewis, their first-round pick in 2016, is living up to the hype early on as he leads all of baseball with 17 hits. Last week he was second in batting average in the American League, and lead the league batting average for balls in play.
