MLB Two Start Pitchers: 4/12-4/18

Each Sunday or Monday morning, we will be looking at the two-start pitchers of the week. We will tell you the must starts, who to stay away from, and a streamer of the week. Let’s dive into it for this week.

Streamer of the Week

Dane Dunning, TEX (@TB, BAL)
(11% ESPN, 14% Yahoo, 30% CBS)

Our first streamer of the season is Dane Dunning of the Texas Rangers. He will start the first game of a four-game series at Tropicana Field, then finishes his week against the Baltimore Orioles at home. Dunning was very solid in his season debut as he struck out six, walked none, and surrendered just one run on three hits against the Toronto Blue Jays. Dunning made seven starts with the White Sox as a rookie in 2020, posting a 3.97 ERA and 1.12 WHIP through 34 innings. The Rays matchup might be pretty tough with the Tampa Bay offense performing well. The inexperience of Dunning could catch up to him. But his production over five innings last week is very promising and the Orioles matchup is favorable.
