For DFS tonight, we are going to hit the three-game late slate on DraftKings. You are also going to get three bargains and pivots for each as you work on your lineups. These players will all be hitters as there aren’t any true low-priced viable options on the mound. Julio Urias would be my first choice facing the Pittsburgh Pirates at home. If you want to spend up a bit, then go for Cristian Javier who gets the Oakland A’s on the road.

On the Dirt

Pavin Smith, 1B ($3,200)

Smith has found his power stroke, hitting four home runs in his last seven games. With that has come eight RBIs, five runs, and five walks. Six of his seven homers this season have come off of right-handers. and Smith faces righty Charlie Morton tonight. The 38-year-old has been knocked around a bit over his last two starts, giving up 16 hits and seven earned runs in just 9.2 innings. Pivot: Seth Brown ($3,000)

Edwin Rios, 3B ($3,900)

The big left-handed slugger had a miserable .598 OPS entering action on May 9. Since then, he has a .931 OPS and has hit six bombs over his last 15 games. Rios faces right-hander Mitch Keller tonight. the Pittsburgh starter is allowing opponents a slash of .293/.360/.446. Much was made about Keller’s increased velocity. While he has bumped his fastball up a couple of ticks, his command isn’t there. Rios is my HR call tonight. Pivot: Austin Riley ($4,700)

On the Grass

Ramon Laureano ($3,200)

Oakland’s outfielder served the rest of his suspension in the beginning of the season and didn’t make his debut until May 8. It seems now though that he is shaking the rust off. In his last five games, Laureano has seven hits which includes blasting his first homer of the season on Friday. He typically bats in the top third of the lineup and has done so over the last five games. Pivot: David Peralta ($3,600)
