We have a full 15-game DFS slate tonight at 7:05 pm EDT on DraftKings, and we are going to stick with the tiers according to salary. On Sunday we had a solid day, killing it with Dylan Cease ($9,600) who put up 40.75 DK points. We also hit a few great values with Josh Bell ($4,100) – 17 points and Isaac Paredes ($3,700) – 17 points. Today, I will give you one from each salary tier for each position. There will be a high-end tier, a mid-range, and a cheap option. For the players the tiers will work like this:

Pitchers:
High-End: $9,000+
Mid-Range: $7,600-$8,900
Cheap: $7,500-

Batters:
High-End: $4,600+
Mid-Range: $3,600-$4,500
Cheap: $3,500-

In the interest of transparency as well as wanting to see how this goes, I will post the results on Tuesday’s DFS article so stay tuned.

Be sure to check us out daily for our DFS content.

On the Mound

High-End: Carlos Rodon vs. Detroit Tigers ($10,400) – I like a couple of other high-priced pitchers, but c’mon folks, it’s the Tigers.
Mid-Range: Jon Gray @ Kansas City Royals ($8,000) – He has a 21/4 K/BB rate and only three earned runs allowed over his last 18.2 innings.
Cheap: Dean Kremer @ Seattle Mariners ($6,000) – Only allowed one long ball so far and has a 1.71 ERA in four starts.

On the Dirt

First Base

High-End: Pete Alonso ($5,300) – The Polar Bear leads the NL in HRs and RBIs. If you can afford him, get him in there.
Mid-Range: Jared Walsh ($3,800) – I like the matchup against Johnny Cueto who has allowed five bombs in his last 29.2 innings.
Cheap: Trey Mancini ($3,400) – He is riding a seven-game hitting streak and more than half of his XBH have come this month.

Second Base

High-End: Jose Altuve ($5,700) – Maybe it will be three games in a row with a home run in the Big Apple.
Mid-Range: Wilmer Flores ($4,200) – Flores is 5-for-14 over his last three games and faces a lefty tonight who he notoriously hits well.
Cheap: Luis Urias: ($3,100) – Tough matchup here, but he may be able to get to the rookie.

Third Base

High-End: Jose Ramirez ($5,600) – See Alonso above.
Mid-Range: Yandy Diaz ($3,600) – He is leading off tonight, and Brandon Woodruff will be making his first start in a month.
Cheap: Mike Moustakas ($3,300) – 3-for-7 in his last couple of games, and Dakota Hudson has come back to earth.

Shortstop

High-End: Trea Turner ($6,100) – Turner in Coors Field against Kyle Freeland? Yes sir.
Mid-Range: Jeremy Pena ($4,200) – Pena worked out the rust a bit last night with his first action in nearly two weeks.
Cheap: Luis Garcia ($3,200) – The kid just continues to hit. Take the discount while you can.

On the Grass

High-End: Kyle Schwarber ($5,600) – Double-digit DK points in four of his last five games.
Mid-Range: Austin Hays ($4,200) – 1.303 OPS in his last six games and has averaged 14 DK points.
Cheap: Nick Senzel ($3,100) – He is 8-for-13 over his last four but also has three stolen bases.

Good Luck with all of your DFS lineups.

Bunting in MLB has Declined

Bunting in MLB has declined. Moreover, it has some wondering if this unique way to get a hit or move a runner up will become a thing of the past. There is a time and a place to lay down the bunt for a hit or to move the runner along, but managers today are using it less and less.
