MLB DFS Sunday's Sizzling Savings

Welcome back to another Sunday edition of MLB DFS. Hope you all in the Northeast are staying cool today. I am in the Boston area and will be blasting the AC all day as the temperatures outside may reach record highs. Enough about the weather. Let’s get to some hot deals on today’s 10-game slate on DraftKings. As usual, these are bargains at $4,000 and under which is gold for your DFS lineups if they produce. It also allows you to stack the rest of your lineup with studs.

Happy birthday to Tommy John who turns 79 years old today. Of course, everyone knows of the surgery that was named after the left-hander. He was also a pretty good pitcher during his 26-year career.

Be sure to check us out daily for our DFS content.

On the Mound

Sandy Alcantara vs. Atlanta Braves ($8,800)

Alcantara gets a tough matchup today. However, he has been very good at inducing soft contact and keeping the ball in the park, which will be important against the power-hitting Braves. The 26-year-old has only allowed four long balls on the season. He also historically pitches well in Marlins Park. For his career, Alcantara is letting opponents slash just .222/.292/.347 in Miami.

Yusei Kikuchi vs. Cincinnati Reds ($6,100)

After a rough April, Kikuchi has gotten back on track in May. Over his last three starts, the left-hander has allowed just six hits in 17.1 innings while striking out 20. Only the Pittsburgh Pirates have a worse OPS in the National League than Cincinnati. The Toronto Blue Jays should be able to give Kikuchi plenty of run support as well as Graham Ashcraft will be making his major league debut.

On the Dirt

Ty France, 1B ($3,800)

The 27-year-old has been good all season long. Over his last 11 games, he has stepped it up a bit with a .931 OPS and six multi-hit games. In that time France is averaging 8.5 DK Points and has put up under five in just two of those games. He gets to face Nathan Eovaldi today in the heat at Fenway Park. Nasty Nate has allowed a league-leading 14 bombs in just 41.1 innings. I will take France as my HR Call in DFS today.

Jonathan Villar, 2B ($3,700)

The 31-year-old is heating up with the weather. Over his last four games, Villar has seven hits including two homers and two stolen bases. The blast he hit on Friday was number 100 for his career. Both of his home runs have come against righties and Villar is a better hitter overall from the left side of the plate. He will face Merrill Kelly today as Arizona’s right-hander started the season strong but has faltered in his last two.

Other Options: J. P. Crawford, SS ($3,900), Gavin Lux, 2B ($3,600), Josh Naylor, 1B ($3,500)

On the Grass

Julio Rodriguez ($3,500)

The youngster looks like he is getting more comfortable at the plate. In his last seven games J-Rod is slashing .429/.448/.679 with a couple of homers and a couple of swipes. He has cut down on his strikeouts as well being punched out 20.7 percent of the time recently as opposed to 32.6 before this last seven-game stretch. Stacking France, Crawford, and Rodriguez looks like an excellent plan for today as they normally bat two-three-four in the Seattle lineup.

Max Kepler ($3,400)

Kepler may not be killing the ball right now, but over his last nine games, he has nine hits and five walks. He doesn’t have a home run in May after hitting five in April. However, the 29-year-old faces Brady Singer today who he has had success against in the past. Kepler is 4-for-12 with two doubles and two bombs against the Kansas City right-hander.

Other Options: Myles Straw ($3,700), Anthony Santander ($3,100)

Good Luck with all of your DFS lineups.
