As the Los Angeles Dodgers play for their first championship since 1988, the Tampa Bay Rays will be battling to stay alive for a winner-take-all Game 7. This may be the last day of 2020 to win some money with MLB DFS so let’s get to it.
Captain
Austin Meadows ($8,700)
He is an extremely cheap option here. Although Meadows has been cold, he is batting third tonight and starting for the first time since last Friday. Let’s not forget the talent this kid has as he is a year removed from a .922 OPS and 33 HRs. Sitting in the middle of this lineup facing Tony Gonsolin is a nice spot. I’ve hit my last two HR calls and Meadows is mine tonight.
Utility
Blake Snell ($11,000)
This is do-or-die time for the Rays. Their ace is on the mound and if he can limit the pitches, Snell can get through five. Although he may have a short leash, it will be his last game he will pitch in 2020. Kevin Cash may roll with him if he is efficient and I can see him throwing strikes to the Dodgers hitters tonight. Snell has been solid this postseason with a 3.33 ERA and a .212 BAA. He also has the strikeout upside having struck out nine of the 20 batters he faced in Game 2.
Ji-Man Choi ($7,400)
I will take a leadoff man with pop at this price. If the Rays are going to jump on the Dodgers early then Choi will have a say in it. In the postseason he is 10-35 with a couple of HRs and an impressive 9/9 BB/K rate. With his eye. and the fact he hits right-handers to the tune of a career .835 OPS, jump on the cheap price so you can include…
Justin Turner ($8,800)
Big Red will again bat third in the Dodgers lineup. He is still below $9k and although he struggled at the plate on Sunday, he was 4-5 on Saturday. The Rays can’t hold him down long. Turner will come through and pay dividends tonight. He is 4-7 with a walk against lefties in this series. The same should continue as he faces Blake Snell.
Good Luck Everyone!
