MLB DFS July 31: Quick Hitters and Pitchers

This would normally be a Locks, Stacks, and Barrels episode but I am putting this together quickly. I’ll run down a few guys to get in your lineups. I’ve been on a cold streak the last couple days so maybe this will be better. Let’s dive in…

Stack the Atlanta Braves

Rick Porcello flat out stinks. The lineup consisting of Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuna Jr., and Freddie Freeman will feast. Porcello will be lucky to get out of the third inning.

Stack the Boston Red Sox

Christian Vazquez is hot with three HRs in the last two days. Also, give me some Xander Bogaerts and J.D. Martinez against lefty Jordan Montgomery.

Luis Castillo

He was dominant with 11 Ks in six innings last time out against these same Detroit Tigers. Roll with him again. He was my pick for NL Cy Young Award winner and I’m sticking with him.

Kris Bubic

A Kansas City Royal first-round pick makes his Major League debut this season. Following up Brady Singer, this time it’s lefty Kris Bubic. His strikeout numbers are off the charts in the minors and college although he has never pitcher above Advanced-A ball. He could flash his stuff and get you some serious strikeout upside tonight against the Chicago White Sox.

Yu Darvish

He started off badly in his first outing but had five Ks in 4.1 innings. Now he gets the Pittsburgh Pirates who he had a 1/18 BB/K rate against last season in 18 innings. Darvish has great stuff and he will figure out a way to demolish the Pirates hitters.

Some Hitters I Like:

Kris Bryant
Kyle Schwarber
Wil Myers
Whit Merrifield
Shogo Akiyama
Mike Zunino

Sorry for the quick-hitter article but maybe this will be better. Let me know what you guys think on Twitter. Good Luck everyone. Make some money!
