In this edition of Locks, Stacks, and Barrels, I will be covering the 7:00 slate. There are five games to choose from and some heavy hitters and a few big-name starters. Let’s get that cash…

Locks
Jose Berrios ($10,200) vs Cleveland Indians
He didn’t look great in his first start. This game will be different. Berrios doesn’t mind facing his division rivals. In his last seven starts against the Tribe, Jose is 3-0 with a 3.29 ERA in 41 innings. He also holds a solid 13/43 BB/K rate and has only allowed four HRs in that span. Francisco Lindor and Jose Ramirez are a combined 11-55 (.200) against Berrios and haven’t put a ball out of the yard. Count on a bounceback from the Minnesota righty.
Ivan Nova ($5,400) vs Kansas City Royals
I know a lot of people are going the other side of this with Brady Singer. Nova is the cheapest pitcher on this slate. A big knock on him is his lack of strikeout upside. The thing is…the Royals strike out a lot. They also don’t walk much having gone the last two games without a free pass. In six games this year, the Royals have an abysmal 9/64 BB/K rate as a team. Nova can go six innings and the Tigers could win this game. If the strikeouts are there at about six as well, Nova will return some nice value. His cheap price allows you to spend on….
Stacks
New York Mets at Boston Red Sox
Give me any team with good power against Martin Perez, especially the righties. Yoenis Cespedes, Pete Alonso, and Amed Rosario should feast along with J.D. Davis and Wilson Ramos. Right-handed hitters bat .298 against Perez in his career and have only struck out 13.2% of the time. The Green Monstah will be busy tonight.
New York Yankees at Baltimore Orioles
I’ll take the other New York team as well. Again, give me the righties. Means pitched well last year but the Yankees had his number to the tune of 1-2 with a 7.62 ERA against them. DJ LeMahieu, Aaron Judge, and of course Oriole killer Gleyber Torres will all be in play. The Bombers will come out bombing and by no Means does John last through four innings…Thanks, I’ll show myself out after…
Barrels
Renato Nunez ($3,800)
The Orioles slugger loves hitting J.A. Happ as he is 11-19 with four bombs off the Yankees lefty. Nunez hasn’t put one over the fence this season but three of his four hits have been doubles. He is listed as a third baseman on DraftKings and is cheap enough to get him in your lineup while still spending up on stacks or pitching.
Carlos Santana ($3,500)
This is a steal of a price. I know I like Berrios tonight but Santana is a guy who could turn some value. He is 5-18 on the season, but all of those hits have come in the last three games. He also has six walks and is batting cleanup tonight. Berrios should still pitch a gem, but I’ll take the value here and bet on Santana to do something.
