MLB DFS Friday the 13th

We have a scary 13-game slate tonight at 7:05 pm EDT. We don’t have a Jason, but we do have a Josh and a Jeimer. But first, I need to take a victory lap for my DFS picks on Tuesday. How about Reid Detmers? Not only that, Jean Segura and Rhys Hoskins both went yard. Sorry, had to do it.

Back to the games tonight for. As usual, these are bargains at $4,000 and under which is gold for your DFS lineups if they produce. It also allows you to stack the rest of your lineup with studs. Let’s get to it.

Be sure to check us out daily for our DFS content.

On the Mound

Framber Valdez @Washington Nationals ($8,200)

Valdez is in Washington to face the Nationals tonight. Aside from a six-run blowup against the Los Angeles Angels, the Houston lefty has been solid, pitching to a 1.93 ERA with a decent 23/11 K/BB rate. The Astros are on a bender, winning 10 in a row while sweeping the Seattle Mariners, Detroit Tigers, and Minnesota Twins. Ride the wave tonight.

Dane Dunning vs. Boston Red Sox ($6,700)

The Red Sox simply have trouble hitting right now. Eventually, they may get out of their funk, but now is the time to take advantage of their ineptitude with the bat. In 22 of their 31 games this season the Sox have scored four runs or fewer. For his part, Dunning has been good recently. He has allowed just a couple of runs in13.2 innings over his last two starts. That comes along with just six hits and three walks. Keep taking pitchers against Boston until someone other than Rafael Devers and Xander Bogaerts decide to hit.

On the Dirt

Josh Naylor, 1B ($3,400)

Three homers in two days? Yeah, I am jumping on that. The big lefty gets to face Sonny Gray who just came back from the IL on Saturday. HE pitched well but was held to 66 pitches. The Twins pitchers are prone to allowing home runs, giving up 34 on the year. Let’s keep riding the hot streak.

Jeimer Candelario, 3B ($3,600)

Although he started of slow, as the weather has warmed up a bit, so has Candelario. In 12 games in May, the switch-hitter has an .838 OPS with both of his homers coming in the month. Jordan Lyles, starter for the Orioles tonight, has allowed an .816 on the season.

More Bargains: Jonathan Villar ($3,900), Christian Walker $3,700), Nick Ahmed $3,400)

On the Grass

Mike Yastrzemski ($3,800)

After a spell on the IL, Yaz has come back in May and played well. This pick is more of a hunch in as I think he turns it around completely tonight. He has been decent slashing .267/.343/.400 with a homer and eight hits in the month. I just feel like he is due for a breakout game and I am going to have Yaz as my HR Call for tonight.

Ian Happ ($3,700)

The left-handed hitter has a .391 OBP and has 29 Runs+RBIs which is tied for second on the team. He is facing Zach Davies tonight. While the former Cub has been decent, he can struggle with control walking 13 in 29.2 innings. Davies has also been a bit lucky this season as opponents have just a .235 BABIP against him. The power will start coming for Happ and it may be tonight.

Other Bargains: Gavin Lux ($3,800), Alex Verdugo ($3,700), Max Kepler ($3,600), Myles Straw ($3,400), Joey Gallo ($3,300)

Good Luck with all of your DFS lineups.
