MLB DFS Friday Quick Hits: Bryce Harper

It’s the weekend everyone and time to make some money. Today we have a couple of decently priced pitchers and a couple of lefty bats who are all affordable. So let’s dive right into our plays to have in your lineups on this beautiful Friday evening for MLB DFS.

***All Prices are DraftKings***

Joe Musgrove $8,500 @ Texas Rangers

Musgrove tossed a gem last Saturday against the Arizona Diamondbacks going six strong, scattering three hits, and striking out eight. The Rangers lineup is not that scary although they have a couple of lefties in Joey Gallo and Nate Lowe who have been doing some damage. Something clicked for Musgrove last year with the Pittsburgh Pirates and he has seemingly brought it into 2021. His velocity even ticked up in his lone start this year. Expect the 28-year-old to dominate the Rangers and get some run support against Kohei Arihara.

Tyler Mahle $7,500 @ Arizona Diamondbacks

Much has been made about the assault the Cincinnati Reds lineup has put on the ball. Mahle though flies under the radar. In his first start of 2021, he struck out nine St. Louis Cardinals in five innings of work. The Diamondbacks offense hasn’t been very good and they are without their best hitter as Ketel Marte is on the IL. The Reds right-hander should be able to shut down the snakes and get enough run support from the new version of the Big Red Machine.

Alec Bohm 3B $3,700

Don’t let the .227 average and .280 OBP scare you. Bohm has scored at least three DK points in every game this season so he won’t give you the old goose egg. On top of that, he is facing righty Charlie Morton. In his short career, Bohm is hitting .348 against right-handers. Expect the Phillies third baseman to put up some points with an extra-base hit or two.

Eddie Rosario OF $4,300

Cleveland’s left fielder took Julio Teheran deep last week. This time around should be no different. Rosario has even looked a little more patient at the plate in his first five games with the Indians walking three times and only striking out twice. He is obviously seeing the ball well and with the wind blowing out to dead center at Progressive Field tonight, Rosario may take Teheran deep again.

Other bats to sprinkle in your lineups:

Carlos Correa SS $4,500
Yuli Gurriel 1B $3,800
Jonathan India 2B $3,500
Tommy Pham OF $3,700
