MLB DFS: Flexible Friday

MLB DFS: Flexible Friday

We have a solid 13-game slate tonight for MLB DFS on DraftKings. As always we take a look at our values. This evening though. we have a few players who can slot into different positions and give you even more options for building your lineups.

***All Prices Are DraftKings***

On the Bump

Tyler Mahle – $7,900 – vs. Colorado Rockies

Since a dismal two-inning performance on May 20 against the San Francisco Giants, Mahle has given up only two earned runs over his last three starts (17.1 IP). In that time he also has an impressive 18/3 K/BB rate and hasn’t allowed a homer. The Rockies are an awful team on the road this year as usual with a 5-24 record and have scored only 73 runs in those 29 games away from Coors Field.

Anthony DeSclafani – $6,400 – at Washington Nationals

In his 12 starts this season, DeSclafani has allowed more than three runs only once. He also hasn’t allowed more than one homer in any game this year. Washington has trouble scoring runs as they average 3.88 runs per game which is fourth-worst in the majors. Yes, the Nats have Max Scherzer on the mound. But, he has been getting the Jacob deGrom treatment by his own offense. Washington has scored just seven runs in his last four starts. At this price especially, Tony Disco should be one of your starters.

On the Dirt

Tyler Stephenson – 1B/C – $3,900

The Reds cleanup hitter is facing lefty Kyle Freeland tonight. Since the calendar flipped to June, Stephenson is 7-for-20 with a homer and has been seeing the ball well with five walks to just five strikeouts. For Freeland’s part, he has been horrible in his three starts since coming back in May. The Colorado southpaw has given up 19 hits and eight walks in just 13 innings.

Kyle Seager – 3B – $3,500

Seager is more of a GPP play tonight as he can be feast or famine. He faces right-hander Aaron Civale and the Mariners’ third baseman has shown most of his pop against righties. He has 20 extra-base hits in just 184 plate appearances and nine of his 12 bombs have come against right-handers along with 30 RBI. Seager is worthy of a spot in a couple of your lineups tonight.

Brendan Rodgers – 2B/SS – $3,100

The former third overall pick has been raking lately. In his last six games, Rodgers is 8-for-14 with a couple of blasts. While I am not crazy about the Rockies lineup overall on the road, the Colorado infielder could pay off at this price. As an added bonus he is batting second.

On the Grass

Ryan Mountcastle – OF/1B – $3,300

Mountcastle is one of the hottest bats in June. The former first-round pick has played in seven games this month and is 12-for-29 with three homers and three doubles. He has had a hit in each game and has had multiple hits in four of the seven. The Orioles’ Ryan gets to face the Tampa Bay Rays’ Ryan Yarbrough who has allowed eight bombs in his last four starts. Mountcastle is my HR call of the night.

Manuel Margot – $3,200

Sticking with the same game, I like the Rays’ leadoff hitter. Margot has the solid power-speed combo that can get you points with six homers and six steals this year. He gets to face lefty Keegan Akin, who just last start managed to finish five innings. Margot will likely see him twice and then face the Baltimore bullpen which isn’t very good especially from the right side.
