We have a late five-game slate starting at 9:38 pm EDT tonight on DraftKings. For this Friday version of DFS, we look at players to have and players to avoid. There will be some bargains, and also guys who are overpriced. Let’s get to it and win some money in DFS tonight.
Be sure to check us out daily for our DFS content.
Pitcher to Have
Yu Darvish ($9,400) – Yes, he is the highest-priced pitcher, and rightfully so. After getting annihilated in his second start of the year, Darvish has a 20/4 K/BB rate and has allowed just four earned runs in 18.2 innings. The Miami Marlins lineup doesn’t really scare anyone as they are one of five NL teams to score fewer than four runs a game. Lock in Darvish.
Pitcher to Avoid
Logan Gilbert ($9,200) – Regression is coming for the young right-hander. His BABIP against is .225 while still allowing an Average Exit Velocity of over 90 mph. The Tampa Bay Rays have also come out of their funk a bit, scoring 23 runs in their last four games. Pay for Darvish instead at a similar price.
Hitters to Have
1B – Christian Walker ($3,300) – The power is coming with two home runs in his last four games and the price is a steal.
2B – Brandon Lowe ($4,300) – Despite the strikeout rate being a little concerning, Lowe has a four-game hitting streak and a four-game run-scoring streak as well.
2B – Cesar Hernandez ($4,000) – The Nationals leadoff man has an 11-game hitting streak.
OF – Luis Gonzalez ($3,800) – With Joc Pederson and Mike Yastrzemski back, Gonzalez’s time may be coming to an end, but the left-handed hitter has done well.
OF – Daulton Varsho ($3,700) – He is 8-for-20 over his last five starts and has four doubles and a homer.
Hitters to Avoid
2B – Jake Cronenworth ($4,600) – He is slashing .174/.275/.304 since April 15. He is not worth the price.
3B – Eugenio Suarez ($4,600) – Although he homered on Wednesday, Suarez is 3-for-34 in his last nine games and has struck out nearly 40 percent of the time.
OF – Joc Pederson ($4,800) – Since missing a few days with a sore groin, Joc has put up goose eggs. He is too expensive.
OF – Trent Grisham ($4,200) – Grisham hasn’t had a hit in his last three games, has one home run, and no stolen bases on the year.
Good Luck with all of your DFS lineups.
