MLB DFS August 1st, Pitchers, Sluggers and Stacks

Hello, I hope that everyone has been having tremendous success this season. Hopefully, this season can keep moving on with all the outbreaks happening within clubhouses. For now, we will keep this train moving.

Stacks:

New York Yankees

Straight up, the Red Sox pitching is putrid. With Aaron Judge heating up and sluggers like Gleyber Torres, Giancarlo Stanton, Luke Voit, and many others, the Yankees will be racking up the runs in this series.

Cincinnati Reds

The Reds have gotten bullied by the Tigers so far this season. But as a gambling addict, I am having one of those weird feelings that the Reds will finally break out against the Tigers. The Tigers will be sending out Michael Fulmer who is off to a rough start. I would look at Nicholas Castellanos, Joey Votto, Eugenio Suarez, and Mike Moustakas to add to your lineups today.

Pitchers:

Trevor Bauer ($10,000)

Again, I am high on the Reds today. I think Bauer is one of the most underrated pitchers in the game. He had a really good outing his first time with 13 Ks in 7 1/3 IP. He will be going up against the Tigers again. Outside of JaCoby Jones and the surprising Miguel Cabrera, the Tigers are not a huge threat.

Carlos Carrasco ($8,500)

Carrasco made his first start since his Leukemia diagnosis in May last season. He struck out 10 batters and continued a line of dominance from the Indians’ rotation. He is facing the Twins, but outside of a bad first inning from Mike Clevinger last night, they have been able to keep the Twins’ bats in check this series. We forget how great Carrasco was before his illness and has looked sharp since spring training.

Sluggers:

Cody Bellinger ($5,300)

Bellinger is one of the stars in this game who is off to a slow start. Manager Dave Roberts said that he is pressing a bit to start the season. He will be facing the Diamondbacks and Luke Weaver today who struggled in his first start. I see Bellinger breaking out very soon.

Whit Merrifield ($5,000)

The hit leader from last season is off to another good start. He has a .281 BA which is down from an 0-5 game last night. I really like the depth of the Royals lineup and Merrifield might just be the best of the bunch.
