Welcome to another rainy day on the East Coast, as the New York Yankees were once again rained out for the second straight day. After six rainouts yesterday, there are a ton of games on the docket including three scheduled doubleheaders. For this version of MLB DFS, we will be looking at the main DraftKings slate starting at 7:05 p.m. EDT. Let’s dive into a six-pack of players for your lineups.

The Arms

Pablo Lopez ($10,000) vs. San Diego Padres

The Miami Marlins right-hander is off to a great start in 2022, sporting a 3-1 record with a 1.29 ERA, 0.89 WHIP, and 30 strikeouts in 28 innings. While he hit a rough patch in his last start, allowing four runs (three earned) over 4 2/3 innings, he still struck out seven hitters and still had good velocity while just missing his spots. The Padres are ranked in or near the middle of the league against right-handers this season in most offensive categories, including a .678 OPS (20th) and 22.4 percent strikeout rate (15th). This has the makings of being a pitcher’s duel with Sean Manaea on the hill for the Padres. San Diego won the first two games, 2-1 and 3-2.

Zach Davies ($5,700) vs. Colorado Rockies

The Rockies have been hitting well this season, but not on the road which is common away from Coors Field. Yesterday, they lost 4-1 in the first game of the series, and are ranked 28th in the majors with a 69 wRC+ against right-handers on the road. Davies doesn’t have great numbers this season, but this is a favorable matchup and a lot of DFS players will be on the Colorado stack as they have a 4.4-implied run total.

The Infielders

Ketel Marte ($4,100) vs. Colorado Rockies

It has been a rough start to the season for Marte, as he is still hitting below .200, but he is starting to get hot. After a double in three at-bats yesterday, the switch hitter extended his hitting streak to six games. Over the six games, he has gone 7-for-21 (.333) with four doubles and one homer. The overall numbers are not great, including the Statcast ones, but Marte is going to keep rolling. He has started to hit the ball harder, as he has 12 hard-hit baseballs over the hitting streak. Marte faces a southpaw in Kyle Freeland who gives up hard contact at a 43.5 percent clip.

Manny Machado ($5,600) vs. Miami Marlins

Machado has been on fire, going 4-for-6 so far in this series including two homers in game one. That led to him recording 47 DraftKings MLB DFS points in two games. He has also recorded at least one hit in 10 of his 11 games, over which he has gone 19-for-43 (.442) with four homers and 11 RBI. Against right-handers this season, the third baseman has a 178 wRC+, .950 OPS, and .418 wOBA. Facing Lopez at home is a favorable matchup for Machado.

The Outfielders

Taylor Ward ($5,800) vs. Washington Nationals

Mike Trout finally has help in Anaheim as the Angels are off to a fast 18-10 start and are sitting in first place in the AL West. Ward has been key to that start as the 28-year-old is slashing .362/.488/.710 with six homers, 19 runs, and 17 walks. Against right-handers, he has a .509 wOBA, 246 wRC+, 1.200 OPS, and .420 ISO. Look for him to keep it rolling against rookie Josiah Gray and the Nationals.

Juan Soto ($5,200) vs. Los Angeles Angels

Why not stick to the same game and head to the opposite lineup? Soto has recorded nine hits including three homers over his last seven games and faces a right-hander in Michael Lorenzen who has struggled against left-handed bats in his career. He has allowed a career OPS of .774 and a .335 wOBA, and this year has allowed lefties to slash .303/.395/.576 with a .424 wOBA against him. Meanwhile, Soto has mashed right-handers to a tune of a 1.140 OPS, .487 wOBA, and 219 wRC+ over 73 plate appearances this season.

Good luck with all your MLB DFS lineups today.
