With various time slots scattered throughout the day, we turn our MLB DFS attention toward the evening slate to convene on our daily fantasy adventure. A six-game heap is set in motion at 7:05pm, embodied by two division rivals in the Baltimore Orioles and New York Yankees. The night culminates in an AL Central clash between the Chicago White Sox and Kansas City Royals. Here are a few high-end arms and bats that have been on cloud nine of late.

On the Hill
Max Scherzer vs St. Louis ($10,600)
With Jacob deGrom nursing his right scapula on the IL, the Mets have turned to their newest member in Scherzer. The veteran righty has been exactly as advertised. Molding a 2.66 ERA tagged by 55 strikeouts, Scherzer has been a major factor for the Mets’ load of arms. While he did get roughed up in two of his recent starts, he quickly snapped back with seven innings of one-run ball against the Seattle Mariners.
Gerrit Cole at Baltimore ($9,900)
While the headlines of the Yankees’ pitching staff fall in the hands of Nestor Cortes, it wouldn’t be a myth to say the same for Cole. Following a rough patch in the season’s early-going, Cole finally seemed to find his groove. Racking up 46 strikeouts over 36.2 frames, Cole has rejoined the race alongside Cortes for AL Cy Young contention. Facing the struggling Orioles shouldn’t be an issue, as Aaron Boone rolls out Cole for his next outing.
The Bats
Paul Goldschmidt at New York ($4,700)
To say the least, the age of 34 is an equitable time to hang up the cleats. However, that is not the case for Goldschmidt. The Cardinal first baseman continues his pursuit of succeeding on a daily basis, for which he seems to relay no issue whatsoever. In yesterday’s doubleheader with Buck Showalter and his Mets, Goldschmidt went 4-for-9 at the dish while whacking a long bomb in the first game and plating two runs in the nightcap.
Gleyber Torres at Baltimore ($4,300)
Painless to say that Torres had not gotten off on the right foot to unlatch the season. Although in recent events, Torres is flaunting a resemblance to his rookie sensation in 2018 and ’19. Prominently known as the Oriole slayer, Torres has yet again tormented the Baltimore club. The visionary second baseman knocked two hits on consecutive nights, both games against Baltimore. The division rivals continue their four-game set as Torres is in pursuit of his sixth long ball of the season.
Tim Anderson at Kansas City ($5,000)
Not a surprise to many, Anderson has been a hit machine in 2022. Boasting a .328 batting average followed by four dingers and 12 RBI, Anderson is fixed among the batting average leaders in all of baseball. While his nine committed errors may not be in accord with his resilient bat, Anderson has flashed his glove despite his struggles. Come what may, following an 0-for-4 night in last night’s matchup, Anderson hopes to make amends as he faces Zack Greinke.
